RUE MORGUE TURNS 100

The folks up north at RUE MORGUE magazine have a lot to celebrate. Releasing May 1st is the centennial issue of their stellar publication. I don't say that lightly, either. Since 1997 RM has given us a steady dose of monster magazine goodness by serving up healthy portions of horror film media in all major categories (including music, which IMHO puts them a leg up on the rest) nearly every month of the year.

Editor-in-Chief Dave Alexander was kind enough to provide me with the cover scan (a special artsy black-on-black spot varnish job) shown in this post as well as a rundown on the contents of the milestone issue. I will also be chatting with Dave about the magazine's past and future and will share it with y'all in an upcoming installment of MONSTER MAGAZINE WORLD. In the meantime, please feel free to roll your cortexes over the sumptuous feast that awaits you when you purchase the magazine at most any large bookstore newsstand. Better yet, save a few shekels and subscribe by clicking on the link to the RM website on the index of 'zines to the right of this here blog roll. Congrats, you guys!!
