FEMME FATALES NO. 3 (PART 1)

FEMME FATALES
Vol. 1 No. 3
Winter 1992/1993
Publisher: Frederick S. Clarke
Editor: Bill George
Pages: 68

FEMME FATALES finished off the year in 1992 with another excellent issue. Bill George continued on as editor and the combination of beautiful, near-naked women and serious, well-written journalism was a hit with readers. Not surprising, as FF's Big Brother, CINEFANTASTIQUE, was an established and highly respected genre film magazine that began as a mimeographed fanzine in 1967 and became a "slick" and successful newsstand periodical in 1970.

Issue #3's cup runneth over (okay, pun intended) with articles featuring both veteran and up-and-comers such as then very popular Michelle Pfeiffer, Cassandra Peterson (aka Elvira), exploitation filmmaker Jim Wynorski's "Voluptuous Vixens from Outer Space", Kathy Ireland, Vivian Schilling and Countess Dracula herself, Ingrid Pitt (our dearly departed Queen of Hammer Horror). Included is an interview with the late Lana Clarkson conducted by Bruce G. Hallenbeck. Miss Clarkson was well-known as the stately player of lusty Amazon barbarians for Roger Corman until she was "accidentally" shot and killed by whack job record producer Phil Spector.
